Hebrews 11:6

📖 This Week’s Verse: "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him."— Hebrews 11:6This is one of the most well-known verses on faith. But rereading it in my current season, one part stood out to me in the second half: Believing and Rewarding.

My Reflection: I’ve always had a desire to draw near to God. It’s on my list of resolutions every year. However, around this time, I often feel drained, as if the fire I started the year with has dimmed. That’s usually when doubt tries to creep in. But this is exactly when we need to press in even more. Without believing in the God we serve, we can’t truly seek Him. And without seeking Him, we can’t expect to receive His rewards.Yes, God is a rewarder, but He rewards those who diligently seek Him. And there’s a difference between seeking God for what He can give us and seeking Him for who He is.Psalm 24:6 says: "This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face." That’s the generation I want to be a part of. The one that seeks His presence daily — not just in times of need.As Matthew 6:33 reminds us: "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."Every morning, I greet Him: “Good morning, Holy Spirit.” It’s a small habit, but it’s shaping a culture in my life where God comes first.

The Heart of It All

If we don’t believe He exists, we won’t seek Him. And if we don’t seek Him, our faith becomes self-centered, only focused on what we can get from Him. But God wants something deeper, a relationship built on love, trust, and faith. And He’s given us the choice to pursue that.So as you step into this new week, remember:

• You are loved by a God who sees you.
• You have access to His presence at any moment.
• He has already won the battle for you.
